Cap'n Dudley

He hates being left behind!

Wanted: Air Seeder

Next new toy will be an air seeder;  one that barely disturbs the top soil to minimise wind erosion.

Sunday tip run

The old ute packed and ready for a Sunday morning run to the tip, 12kms away.

We call it the Sunday Social Run because we often meet the neighbors either coming or going, so it's a good time to catch up.

The house, the deck, the windows

There were small windows where the sliding doors are and the timber should be here soon to go n the steel frame for the deck. That will give us good indoor/outdoor entertaining.

Weighing time

Just before I left for the UK we weighed and drafted the boys, 400kgs plus went one way and less than 400kgs went the other way.

Several boys close to and over 500kgs.

View from Knob Paddock

Dudley's helping paws

Dudley thought he would cool down in my water hole, where there was a leaking pipe.

Busted stop valve

Fixing a hole in a poly pipe in one of the paddocks made me aware that the blue stop valve on the poly tank was not working so in 38c heat I ended up taking the whole lot off to replace the valve.

Extra water tank

Getting a 20,000 litre water tank delivered to attach to the 110,000 tank in case we get some rain and the big tank overflows.

Clearing the fence lines

We had a contractor in who cleared the fence line in the back Boomerang paddock with his 21 tone dozer, which means we can now drive the 'gator almost the whole boundary fence

Solar Power

Makes sense to go the whole way...

It means we can cool the house during the day with the air conditioning without racking up massive energy bills.
